Oh! Winter!!!

Yes! You must thinking what I'm talking being in Chennai. I'm not insane. Winter is for my baby and not for me.

Guess, Where am I sitting?
I'm always confused to find out whether my baby is feeling cold or hot. I generally feel sweating all the time and think even she will be like that, but that is not true for Thamizhini. So I simply make her to wear some sweater or some winter wear. I doubt whether she really feeling cold, but I dont want to leave her in light cloths.

I do not have a reason for laughing!
Look at the video below that how she is working out before going to sleep. Also the photo.

My Dad does not do, even Mom. But I do.

Starting Juices and Fruits

Hurrey! Thamizhini started having Furit Juices and Cooked Fruits. Yes, as per Dr. advise, we started giving Musambi juice with water (1:3 for first 2 days , 2:2 for second 2days,3:1 for third 2days and later on complete juice with no water) at 11:30 for one week and in the next week half Apple / Pear/ Banana at 4 O' clock in the evening. She likes to drink and eat!

When she drinks juice, her eyes are blinking becuase of the tangy taste but she likes to taste and drink like adults. She like to eat apple and banana but not pear.

Mike testing 1 2 3..
I'm making her to sit in the bouncer while feeding juice and fruits. I'm very strict in following this habit, becuase I have seen many babies running around the flats and their Moms with a bowl of food. I don't want to practice this, but Let us see, how it goes! I surely write when I become like other Mommies.

Visiting Native - Back to Chennai : Part III

Oh! finally we all were ready to return back to Chennai. The luckage did not reduce as we have recived presents from friends and relatives for Thamizhini. Only diapers reduced. :-)

We started around 7:30am from house and train was scheduled around 8:30am from Erode junction. The weather was little bit cold as it was November end. We wrapped Thamizhini well in her cloth (No extra cloth like Sweater or Cap, all packed in bag. Felt sorry later for this blunder mistake) and as she said bye bye to her Grandpa, the train started to move. By 9 O Clock, Thamizhini felt sleepy as she woke early to get ready :D She started sleeping on my hand and as usual she slept for half an hour and woke up exactly at Salem. After that she did not sleep but enjoyed the train journey for sometime. We were better planned this time (lesson learnt from the last journey), we booked 2 tier AC where our berth was adjacent. So we did not worried for the berth arrangements and enjoyed the time with Thamizhini. she played with her toys and looked through the window for some time then slept for 20mins. This was the routine thing she did until we reach Chennai, But i hsould say she enjoyed the joruney, watch out the video, you will know better.

But when we reached Chennai, she became little clumsy and started crying now and then. I realised later that she got COLD and her nose started dripping. My God, my sweet baby got cold because of my mistake that I had not put sweater and cap to her in the early morning when we started our journey.  :-(

Visiting Native - Friends and Relatives: Part II

Part II is about the people thamizhini met and how she was with everyone. We were there in the native for three weeks (from 11th Nov 2010 to 28th Nov 2010) and its full of travel to here and there. Weekends with Daddy at Gobi and Weekdays with Amma at Perundurai :-D .

Look at her leg, how it rests
I have to say that Thamizhini met 100s of relatives and friends totally. She was going to each and everyone with happy face. No crying, nothing. I was worrying that how thamizhini will react, whenever new person come in. But theres no change in her. All 100 are same for her. I felt childhood is BEST :D

Thamizhini's Sakthi Athai and Babu Chithappa also were there as they planned their vacation on November and As usual she received loads of presents from them.

Even I got sometime for me to call all my friends and talk. My friend Alamelu visited us and she bought a toy for Thamizhini. I have to say that whether Thamizhini likes the toy or not, we liked the toy which makes huge sound when we play. Why we liked, Because when she cries, we need to make more sound than her to make her calm down. So its better to play the toy and make the HUGE noise. EASY.

Amma, Ok?
Too bad, you are telling about my cry.. eh?
We had been to our temple (Kulatheivam) as this was the first time we went to native after birth of Thamzihini.

5th Month

Yes, As I thought, this month my baby rolled over, able to hold her neck without much shaking, able to sit straight with our support! If I put her on the mate in the floor, she moves to & fro, sideways and makes a full round in the mate. I love to see these developments.

Now I realise about the learning thing. Babies are too much interested to learn and see new things. She has learnt so many new things and nowdays she plays actively with toys, even though she cannot go / run and get it! But one person should be with her to show toys and play with her. If no body is around, as I said earlier she started making huge noise to call our attention. She enjoys listening to songs and rhymes and of course she smiles and blabbers when we sing for her! And I must admit that I use this trick to click photos of her!

Dress is a present from Tamilselvi Ahai :-)
But she get scared to see toys like bears (basically which is big in size and big to hold) and she is not ready to touch at all. She just turn her head otherside and even if I force to show that toy, she starts whining. Poor baby, it won't eat you da! But You guys must know one thing about my baby: Her all time favorite toy is Frog, (yeh, I think of "Princess and a Frog") Generally Girl babies love to hold / play with Bears, but my baby is opposite, or I think she needs to grow little bit older to know about these things.
Im able to catch it!
I'm very happy for onething, that is. she sleeps in the night, yeh going to sleep around 9:30 to 10 (or  max 10:30) and wakes up only in the morning around 7 or 7:30 (with two feedings in the night and diaper change). She proves that she has grown up to some extend to show us when she feels sleepy, by rubbing her eyes and nose!

My Baby Rolled over once

I got this memorable moment in my mobile at 10:30 yesterday night! She was very active even in the late night and rolled over herself with little bit help from the pillow that was given to her head! If the pillow was not there, then she could not have done this! We were so happy to see her try and once she is done, I felt too much happy as I was near to her to shot this moment in my mobile.

But I doubt, I may not capture her sitting, crawling and walking phases as I need to start my work. :-( I don't like to work , i just wanna stay at home mommy!

Visiting native - First Train Journey : Part I

Wow... I was worried that how Thamizhini will manage in train journey. But to my surprise, I should say she enjoyed it. The West coast exp. was scheduled to depart at 11:30a.m from Central, Chennai and we were fully prepared with our lunch, snacks and even with Tea.

She just looked left and right to see the crowd in the station and I could read her mind that she was thinking that from where they all came in, and what my mom supposed to do in this place with me. We booked first class ticket and what a system, we three of us got in to three different cabins. But somehow managed to get in one and there started our journey.

Listening to Mom
Thamizhini slept for half an hour for every 2hrs. And for sometime she was just seeing through the Window but I don't think that she would have got some scenery outside, as train was moving very fast and even we could not set our eyes to one thing.

The process - Diaper Change
It was around 7hrs journey to reach our native and from there another half an hour by Car.  When finally reached home, i felt exhausted. Then think of Thamizhini, she is totally tired and slept by 9:30 that night, but she did not get up in the night even for one feeding.

4th Month

Thamizhini is 4 months old :-) Look at the photo below and I know you guys are thinking that she started turning over! No, no, Not at all! We turned her like that! :D But to my surprise, she likes to get up and sit (???) Yes, nowdays she does not like to lay on my lap, she tries herslef to get up and sit. I'm worried that my sweet little baby will start walking directly bypassing turning over and crawling! See, How cute she is, in this pose. Dai kuttipaapu, I love to see you like this, so don't bypass and turn over soon darling!!

Too bad! I need some more time to turn over myself!
We have got so many clothes for baby as presents from our friends and I do click whenever she wears it! And I would like to thank them here by showing Thamizhini with their gifts :-)
Thnx for your support Mama.
Nowdays she doesnot close her little mouth, always babbling and making huge noise too! She started talking to herself and I don't know what she will talk with lights? Yes, to the lights (zero watts) in the room and to the A/c power LEDs. May be those small lights will blink to her eyes. It is really nice to see her talking with them and smiling to them! If no body is around her, she makes huge noise and call our attention.

I know, Im always kewl!
I'm surprised to see her activeness sometimes. I'm very happy for one thing that she doesnot cry when she woke up from sleep. She will be seeing the sun light coming from the window and will be lying in her crib / thuli by talking and smiling to herself or to the toys. This scene makes me overwhelming joy always.

Thanks Bala mama, I like this kinda dress!
And finally, I'm overly feeling proud at home you know why, because my little one identifies me and does not go to anyone when she is with me. But would like to go to her Appa SOME TIMES (Yes, only SOME TIMES) I'm very happy about it as this just four months old know who is her Amma and Appa. (Grin.... ) Love you sweetie!!!

Lakshmi Aunty, Thnx, I'm happy!!

My poor little baby!

I was little bit sad on the end of 4th month because of 5th month vaccination we had on Nov 2nd. Initially we felt sad and bad for giving injuction to her as it will be painful for her. Yes, as every parents! As she had birth jaundice in earlier days (and it lasted for a month), we had to give blood sample for bilirubin test. My God, it was really painful feeling to hear her crying. My Mom was with me that time, and tears were sheding from her eyes, hmm.. such a emotional mom she is.

Somehow we managed three to four vaccinations without much fever and other problems. This time too, it went as usual and Dr. told Crocin syrup 6hrs once and ice cubes to the injuction spot. She was calm and quite good after coming home and even slept early. But in mid night she suddenly started vomiting (yes, it is not spit up), she vomited whatever she had from evening. and vomited two more times! I was little bit worried as this is her first time vomiting like this and my little baby was so much tired and she slept in my hand itself! I did not feed her as I suppose not to do soon after vomiting (Googled it). She woke around 6:30 and had milk, that also vomited in another 10 mins and same thing was repeated at 11:30.

I was in terrible shock and came to know that smething that I should do to stop her vomiting, because her stomach is totally empty from the previous day night. I rang our Dr and briefly explained what is happening. She suggested a syrup to stop vomiting and after giving that only her food stayed in her stomach. My God, I dont want this to happen again for my baby. I should ask the reason for this to Dr in our next appointment.

First Diwali

Yeah! This is Thamizhini's first Diwali. We celebrated this Diwali in Chennai in our house with my parents, bro and in-laws. It was great and good feeling to have all of them in one place in a festival day.

My Diwali Dress, Its a Present from Hari Mama n Saranya Aunty!
Thamizhini did not sleep well because of the sound of crakcers from the previous day of Diwali! The burst sound of crackers was disturbing her sleep too much, But to my surprise she did not get scared for that bursting sound.

On Diwali day, she enjoyed seeing the light that is coming from Electric Sparklers, Chakkra and others and I'm sure she must be surprised to see that and I think she must be thinking whole day about this. But we did not take her outside as crackers made huge sound and even the piece of crackers may accidently hit us. We just stood in our floor and watched it!

Amma! Enough clicking Photos. I need to go to burst crackers.
Finally mama received this dress from his friend, I was worried that this will not fit me as I'm growing!
And last two days she did not sleep in her crib whole night as the crackers sound was disturbing too much! We did co-sleeping and I had to hold and pat her for each and every burst sound. :-) But I think now she wants my closeness while sleeping atleast after 4 or 5 in the morning, hmm... even I like the same.

Gearing up to sleep - Her Crib

Thanks Sakthi Athai for this wonderful bumpers :-) - Thamizhini

I should say that she enjoyed this by seeing first time, when we put her on the crib, she just turns left and right, and stares at the design. And we struggled a lot to get this pose from her. Somehow we are decorating her crib by n by.

Thamizhini and Gayathri

My friend lakshmi had visited us with her family. She has a girl child named "Gayathri" who is very sweet and as well as very naughty! And to my surprise she doesnot stop talking. Even if we ask her to talk for a whole day, I'm sure she is gonna do that and I would love that!

Gayathri was very happy to see us and she was asking her mom about Thamizhini that she could play with her. She is bit disappointed, as Thamizhini is too small to play with her. But she liked to talk with her and she was telling numbers, alphabets and rhymes!! Gayathri, you are such a adorable darling da.

Pabbling with Mama

Just to satisfy Mama, else he will not talk with Thamizhini... So posting with him ;-)

Anyhow I must admit that we need to talk with baby more and more, then only she will start talking. If she is in good mood, she likes to reply.. (Yeh, same aahh... oooh... ouhh sound).

Thamizhini started babbling

We are very much excited, know the reason? Yeah! Thamizhini started talking, i mean started making sounds like ah.. oooh... and it goes on like that. She nicely replies when we talk with her by moving our heads and widely opening our mouth with some naughty sounds. It is really fun to watch her babbling!

We beg her to talk but she likes to talk with her grand parents. Her grandpa started teaching "Ah, Aaah", yes only 2 letters :) she opens the mouth and tries to imitate.

Clippings of her babbling

And to my surprise, she makes ah.. ooohh.. sounds when she sees new faces (neighbors)! Is she complaining about me to them?

We love you little cutie!!

Friday night party -ku polama?

Oops! I don't want my child to become a software engineer now only. Thinking, if im going insane, but I'm very serious. Im just following her from 2 to 3 fridays and it is just a true thing that she is not sleeping on friday nights. She sleeps only after 2 and waking up only after 11am on Saturday!

Yes, got it, Is n't it? We were doing the same thing before Thamizhini born and now she follows the same! But we have not gone to any parties on friday night yet :D . I must admit that I'm getting a stretch of 10 hrs sleep, but i have to get up every 3 to 4 hrs to feed her.

Party @ home?
Hmm.. Somehow i have to train her to sleep in time, but don't know how. And of course, I think she is too small for sleep training!

Naming ceremony

She is Thamizhini now. Yes, finally we named our baby. We had very limited choice for the names as the Astro and Numero - logy give tough choices of letters. It was "say", "so", "tha" and "thee". As no better names in say and so, we decided to fall on "tha" and we had "Thaarika", "Thaarakai" and "Thamizhini". I liked Thamizhini most and next Thaarakai, but my husband liked Thaarika as it looks little modern. Besides this, he wanted the name should equate numerology, but that did not happen for "Thaarika". Only Thamizhini matched and I'm happy for that. He started telling that he named the baby as I liked.. No other go, Is n't it? :-)

Also Dhithu wrote and gave this lullaby to baby's appuchi (grandpa) and I expect, he will be singing this to baby one day!!

Thanks Dhithu for this beautiful lullaby!!!

Bath time

My granny was here and she was giving bath to baby every day, bath with full body massage and YES, of course she was crying each day in her bath time.

She used to cry a lot when putting her on her back! The cool part is she does not cry when we put her on her tummy and giving bath to her head! No idea what she feels that time!!

Some of the shots from bath:
