What Thamizhini Knows!!!

What Thamizhini knows.... She knows lots of things... yeah! Lots of Animals and Birds, lots of Objects, Colors and  Rhymes! Generally kids want to stay occupied on one or the other thing and they need more fun pastime. Thamizhini once started walking, we were not able to control her inside the house. As basically she has much interest in seeing books and also she handles books very nicely, turns each page as a Pro.

One day when I was bored at home(six months back), I thought of hanging some charts to her. So whenever she is bored, she can simply look at it. And my basic intend was, she will not simply  disturb others! The charts were hung in a way that she can look into that from any where and from any position :P But this little tot had trick. She always wants one or the other to carry / lift her and show the chart. Grr..... Yeah. And she will not get satisfied with one or two charts. She had to see all of them and then only she will be ready to get down from us. Spare a minute to think about us. :D

Check out the below video to know what she knows. I'm very happy at least these charts made her to remember the things what she sees every day!

I like the way how she tells "Yesch Pappa", "Up above..(Twinkle...)" and "Thiruppi kettal Poochai" from Dosai amma Dosai! She remembers all the rhymes and tries to tell whenever we sing for her. If any one wants to know what she sings, they must be knowing what rhyme it is.. Got it????

Bammindhi Amma

These days Thamizhini's verbal power is growing in high speed and as well as she is becoming adamant too! She answers what we ask, only if she is interested. Else how much ever you shout, there is no use of it. As she is able to tell her name, these days "Pamiyini" is the word she uses most.

I'm a naughty girl! Aavene Adamant girl!

So my baby is :
* Adamant and  Naughty (I was laughing literally whenever I see "pants wearing video").
* She can tell her name, daddy's name and even Amma's name. Yeah, We never knew that she knows my name. She never called with name, but once asked, she thought for few seconds and tells "Bammindhi" and Bammindhi amma.

Rishmy Akka in Chennai

My friend Benazir with her family had come to Chennai and she visited us on Sunday evening. It was really a wonderful evening for us as it was a long time back that we had met. I liked to see my friend but I must admit that I was more interested to see my friend's Daughter Rishmiya. She is such a wonderful darling to be with, she is too smart for her age and she likes to share her things when she play with her mates. I love this habbit as I have seen so many parents struggle to solve sharing issues with siblings and friends.
Rishmy: Thamizhini's Catch!
Thamizhini did not have an idea about who is coming home. But once they are at home, she started playing with Rishmy nicely. They both were talking, playing and Thamizhini was most interested to show her all toys.
Treasure Hunting for them
They spent really short time at home, but even then kids were enjoyed very much. At last Rishmy did not even have mood to go back to Bangalore, she says that she will stay here with Thamizhini. :-)
Thamizhini: That's the frog I used to like when I was small baby :P
We (me and nalin) like her Idly (Chubby) cheeks :P The specialty of the below photo is, that Rishmy is looking at her Mom and Thamizhini is looking at her Dad, as both Benazir and Nalin clicked the picture. But Photo came good :-)
Pose
Rishmy's best friend Priya had come with them and Thamizhini also easily attached to Priya. They all three were playing nicely with toys.

Thamizhini's Obsession!!

I don't know how Thamizhini habituated with this. By the time I realized her interest on my hair, she was totally habituated and now I feel the real pain of it. She wants me and my hair when she go to sleep! And of course, it is totally a irritating thing and I hate it to the core. These days I woke from deep sleep, just because she is awake and pulling my hair continuously and consistently.  Check out the below video, What I ask from her and what she wants from me! Don't forget to look at her face when I say "Mudiye Vidu" ! "Nadigaiyar Thilagam thothanga!" This is what I felt!

Appa's Birthday

Today is my daddy's birthday. This is his second birthday with me. :P

I know, for this birthday, Appa has got many gifts from Amma, I don't know why she gave that much. Ok Appa, Anyhow from my side, I can just wish you with a message. But my wish is precious than Mom's, because I struggled a lot to learn this, "Aappy Bothday Balji Pa". Thank you Amma for teaching me this.
Appa, Are you Ready? We are!!!
It was a wonderful birthday celebration that I have ever seen (???)  in my life (yeah, for 18months). I have gone to many birthday celebrations, but they were all too crowded and much noisy too. They burst balloons and do some kind of sparklers. This all makes me scary always, hence I generally do not like to go to Birthday parties. May be knowing this, Amma planned Appa's Birthday at home. Oh! So, do you think, If I don't get scared Amma would have thrown a huge party? Na.. Na.. She would have just cut the cake by placing in a chair itself. Check out my daddy's last birthday celebration, and even my mom's too, for how they celebrated.
Appa, after cutting cake, please gimme these balloons.
Amma decorated the hall with "Happy Birthday" stickers and Balloons. I know what you must be thinking now? Did I allow her to do this? Hmm.. Amma knew me, and she completed this before I return from Park. When I entered home, I was so excited to see the stickers and tried jumping to catch the them. But Amma told me that I have to drink Complan to grow double in size. :P So I left the idea of jumping and started asking Amma to help me out.
Well Set for cutting cake.
As usual Appa came little late than planned, and he did not realize the decorations after he entered home. Yeah, he is not like me. :D But once he saw it, he was so happy and excited than me. I was wondering who is kid here, either me or my dad. He was that much delighted and happy to see Birthday Cake too. Till then everything was ok, but once I saw the birthday caps, I felt frighten. I know, to encourage me and not to get scared anymore by seeing birthday parties, Amma bought these caps and planned in this way.
Appa, Ready, 1-2-3 Happy Birthday to you....
Amma placed a candle on top of the cake and when it was lighted, it sang a happy birthday song. Once the song was over, he blew off the candles and cut the cake. I ask Amma to upload the videos too, in that you can see, how long he took to cut the cake.  Yeah, really! But at last, he finished cutting the cake and he fed me little bit of cake. As I was scared to see the birthday caps, Appa removed the cap from him. Yes, then only I went to him to taste the cake.
Hmmm... Nice taste.
Hmm.. What for I was waiting till then? :-) any idea / any guess? To taste the cake? No... No... No... To get the balloons and stickers in hand. But Amma gave me only balloons and any idea what happened to those stickers? Hmm.... She did not give it to me and stored it for next birthday :-(

Happy Birthday Once Again Appa!!! and Thanks for reading :-)

With Lots n Lots of Love,
Thamizhini.

Library Visit

It has been a quite long time plan that I wanted to take Thamizhini to  Anna Centenary Library. We were thinking for each week end, but one or the other thing will disturb the plan. But we made it this weekend finally. But how? We did not plan for it. We used to see and cross the library whenever we go to Hospital to meet Thamizhini's Pediatrician. And as usual we had to wait long time to meet Dr. So we thought of going to library after booking the appointment and we did it.
Oh! Thanniiiiiii.....
The Library was huge in size and also in quality. It was planned properly and made it in the way that every one can use / access it. As we had very little time, we just spent time on Children's section only. The area is decorated with artificial tree and fun filled theme every where. There are cartoon characters, animal pictures and lot more as a feast to our  eyes. I could see lot of children taking books and reading under the artificial tree and parents were supporting them.
Nursery Rhymes book
Thamizhini was so excited to see books in shelves. She was like going and taking books and giving it to me to read for her. And she gets distracted in next minute and going for other book... Grrr.... Lot of books, No, I must say Tons and Tons of books for kids, Yes just for kids. Hard board books, story books, kids level science books, Activity books and lot more. There might be more stuffs for kids, but I'm yet to explore all things.
At last I like this book only...
I must say this library is one of the need for all ages and I could see people floating now and then. But I felt shame on myself that I have missed this long and still find some reasons for not making it frequently. May be once Thamizhini turns two, I have to make "going to library" is a must task for me.
Amma... Banana!!!
I liked Chennai mainly for two reasons. One is the book fair that happens every year in January month and the next one is this Library. Any time in future, if I leave Chennai, I'm sure I'm gonna miss these two.

18th Month

My sweet little one is one and half years old now. Yep! Great 18months. Till one year, there were not much change, just growing in size. But after one year, everything got changed. She is not like how she was yesterday and it is same for the next day too!
Achachoo....!!!
I was feeling guilty (or relieved???) as I stopped nursing her and felt that I may not have enough time to spend with her. But this little one is not changed and she feels like, you feed me or not, but I need you for everything. Be with me when I awake in the morning, Give me bath, dress me, feed me the breakfast, lunch and dinner, play with me and of course sleep with me.
Amma.... Intha Mum Mum...!!!
I was thinking that Thamizhini would be "Daddy's Daughter" once I stopped nursing her. But no way. She is still the same and more dependent on me. Nothing is moving around without me. She needs me in each and everything. I feel really happy for this and more than that I love this bonding. I want this to be continued till the end of our life. But sometimes I feel like, what if I'm not around, say for one or two nights? I don't think Nalin can manage her and she would end all day crying for me. It would be really tough.
Appa... Amma kaiyile :P
Thamizhini's favorite time pass for these days is folding. She likes to fold whatever she gets in her hand. It may be a lengthy towel, hand kerchief or even her cloths. She does it, the same way as we do. First she shakes off the cloth, then put it on the floor or bed, and tries to fold it. But poor girl, never folded one cloth properly. Sometimes she put the towel on her and tires to fold it, as we stand and fold the cloths.
Folding...
Thamizhini knew how to pray to God, but this month she learnt to pray by saying slokhas / song. She was imitating exactly how her dad was doing it. Everyday morning when he prays, he sings the song that started as "Paalum theli thenum...". So Thamizhini started saying that and imitates by doing the pooja in empty hands. She says the song as "Paal venu...paal venum...then venu..." like that.  We used to make fun as saying, "whatever happens, let it happen, but she wants milk to drink". We tried our level best to capture this, but Thamizhini was most interested in seeing camera, so once she realized that we are capturing her, she stops saying and comes to camera. Naughty...

How do I look?
As I said she spent most of time by chatting to herself. Do you want to see, how she prays to God, and how she reads a magazine? Check out the video below:
