What am I doing all time at home? - Part II

For Part I

Earlier when I was not knowing how to walk (or was I too small to walk???) and crawl, life was too boring. Just laying in one place and staring the roof or just staring who were walking in front of me was meaningless. Now I really know how my life is meaningful to me and everyone else at home. As I'm able to walk properly, I don't need anyone's help at home to get things / toys for me, rather I help them sometimes.
Baby is not listening to me, that is why!!
My Amma is very lazy you know, she waits for someone to walk on her way, and she will ask to get her something that she was waiting to take it from long time like pls get that book, pls get that TV remote and the list will go on!. So these days I'm the one who take and give it to her whenever she wants something. And you know what I do sometimes, Please do not tell anyone! some times I act as if I don't know what she is asking for. As I'm baby, it is too easy for me to act as if im not knowing the name of thing that she is asking for. :D
I dress myself to help Amma :-)
But sometimes I like to help them, that too when mobile / telephone rings, I will run and get the mobile / phone to them and I know the difference between mobiles, whether it is Amma's, Appa's or even Apuchi's / Thatha's. :-) Check out the video below how I help them in their daily life.

Sometimes I feel boring to be a good baby all time. So I just walk here and there (inside house only) and like to do lot of naughty things. My Grandparents will just tell me not to do when I touch switch boxes, when standing on my toy car and when I pull the Gas cylinders tube. But my Amma shouts (or should I tell, yelling) at me when I do those things and I feel like doing more when they say NO to me. I know what I'm doing might turn dangerous sometime but still... I really do not know how to control myself  ;-)

Trust me, I can't control myself :-(
And sometimes I try to make them happy by cooing even though they are irritated with me and with my naughtiness and I know how to manage them :P
I know nose will not pain if I pinch.
Check out the below video and watch out the last clip. I promise, you will know more about ME.

With Sacks n Sacks of Love,
Thamizhini.

PS: I hope Amma will allow me to write here now and then. :-)

Thamizhini's Interest in Bharatanatyam

We know that kids are very much attracted to Music and its basically some kind of soothing noise or  energetic to keep them on toe and dance. Kids from our apartments learn Bharatanatyam and the teacher comes to our apartment and teach them. The class is scheduled after school hours or in the weekends. It is really a good experience to see them learning Bharatanatyam.

We used to take Thamizhini to park in the evening and sometimes we watch kids learning and practising Bharatanatyam. Thamizhini quietly listens to that Thaalam (or what we have to say for that) "Tha Thai Tha Thai" watch akkas dancing. Later once she come home, she chants that "Tha Thai" day and night. I used to worry that if she make any noise (being 10 months old is really small to understand the word disturbance), that will disturb the kids or distract them from dancing. But to my surprise, she maintained pin drop silence there and just watched them.

Once she started walking and that too walking without any one's help, she started trying steps on her own for "Tha Thai". So these days whenever kids are practising we go and watch them for sometime and now it became routine for us as Thamizhini likes to see them always.

I always wonder what does she think when she sees her own face on the mirror or even these days in camera.  Her Amatha used to dress her nicely and show her to mirror saying that "Wow See how cute dress to Thamizhini" and she liked to see it. Even now she likes to see in mirror and whenever she is fuzzy to dress up , we say her that we will dress and see it in Mirror, then she stays calm for 2 to 3 minutes and allow us to dress her up.  As she know how to see herself in mirror, these days she just go to mirror then talks to herself and does funny things like throwing her hands in air, clapping hands, dancing, blabbering and watch it. I'm sure that she enjoys these activities much these days.

We always capture her funny activities and show her that what she had just done. She likes to watch it from mobile / laptop. Check out the video, she is doing Tha Thai and seeing herself in the mirror. In last few frames you could see that she is excited very much to see herself in mirror dancing. Lovely Baby!

Potty Time Play

Yes! We need to do this! She is 14th months old and she knows how to use Potty. She is able to walk without anyones support and able to sit in Potty too! Our potty is not a baby safe and if she uses it without giving full attention she might fall down. So We make her sit on it and someone has to sit near to her talking. This is not only for caring herself from falling down but to make her sit until she completes her job. These days she does not like to use it and we make it by pushing her hard in the potty. Somehow she likes to use it for poopy but obsolutly not for su su. My little Dirty Darling likes to wet her pants and panties always.

We try all the ways to make the potty time as interesting one to her like, reading books to her, giving toys and playing with her, talking to her and so on.  As she likes to see her Brown Bear book, that is the one now always sticks with her. She knows most of  the animals given in that book and likes to see Fish and Dog much. Check out the video and you will know how her Appa makes her to turn pages and teaches her to say Two fish.

Video Collections

Thamizhini likes to see herself in mobile videos and we always capture her either it can be her naughty mood or her activities or atleast some funny things that she is trying to do.Here are some of the collections that we had on our cam.

Drummer!

She absorbs people much and she does exactly the same way what they do. She knows how to put my office Id card on her neck and likewise she likes to put everything which has strings, on her neck. Checkout the below video that she is wearing the Drum and walks all over the house.

Being in Velachery, Chennai, Thamizhini used to mosquito bites and more importantly she knows how to kill/ beat it  :P Check out the video how the cricket bat turns as a Mosquito killer bat. :D

Fun time with Daddy

Dads are always famous for rough playing and Nalin is no different from them. He does / tries all the ways to make Thamizhini laugh. He sometimes makes loud and scary noises just to get a mad laugh from her. It is all for ONE reason that he wants to make a tight bond with his daughter. And there's no doubt that our little one is fascinated to see him playing roughly! Check out the video to know how they both play.

These days Thamizhini is much attracted to books. She gets her book in hand and talks something with that. She has "Brown Bear Brown Bear, What do you See?" and this is the one, her Dad must read to her whenever she wants. Because the book is very much Picture Perfect and It is made up of bold colored collage of animals.

I'm Born with this book!

She likes to see Green Frog, Gold Fish and White Dog much. Her dad asks questions like "Where's the dog?" or "Where's the eyes of Frog?" and shows her where it is. So next time when we move to the same page, she voluteriley tells us the parts that we have shown her last time. There is Gold Fish in the book and we taught her like "inge oru fish and ange oru fish" by showing our hand to the neighbors house as they have small fish tank. Thamizhini use to see that whenever we cross the house. So next time when she sees the Fish in book, she used show her hand to the neighbors house too! Yeah! she remembers it!
Appa, See long legs...!!!
Also her Daddy plays differently from me, so Thamizhini enjoys more and she knows that each one has their own play styles and she expects as per that. Whatever it is, but I can say that Thamizhini enjoys reading, whether we sit down with a picture book or read the same book over and over again.

Amma, tell me what story you want, I will read for you!!!
Sometimes she alone takes some book, sees picture on her own and tell about the picture to us. We always try to capture these kinda moments, but she never caught in! Anyhow check out the below video

13th Month

Whoa... Whoa! Thamizhini is One year and one month old! Whenever I see toddlers, I think of my kid that when she will be growing up and walks without our help and does some of the things on her own. Because, I used to see toddlers' mom relaxing on the park and chit chatting with their friends.
Evening fun...!!!
Now Thamizhini is able to walk completely without our help, able to ask whenever she needs something like water, toys kinda then, able to understand completely what we talk to her (at least to her context), knows to feed herself with spoon and even with her hands, able to hold sipper and knows how to drink water even it is only few drops left, knows how to use Potty when required!
Examining Baby doll
Not done!!! Yeah... able to get down from the bed, able to identify her toys and its names, plays nicely in Swing, identifies some of the objects like TV Remote, Mobile phone and Appuchi's spex,  identifies everyone at home, identifies the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms... Oh! Oh! basically she knows almost everything which she needs.
Changing Channels and showing to Amatha!
Applying Thiruneeru to Amma!!
But here is the point. Read the above paragraph again and give full attention where ever I said that "she knows". Yes. She knows to do that! but she NEVER EVER does that. That too, mainly using Potty's.
Lots of complaints... ??? Ithellam enaku romba saatharanamappa!!!
As we had one year check up for her, we visited her pediatrician and she told that her weight and height is good and as per the chart. Also she examined her body and asked about her activities. Dr. asked us whether she catches ants and tries to take it.

Tight hug to Amma!!!
I was wondering why she was asking like that, but later I came to know that she was testing her eye sights. So for a one year child, she has to get up on her own, has to walk and point out for what she wants! I'm happy as my child does all these things. :-)
Kissing Amma...
With my Amatha... while visiting pediatrician.

Nowdays she knows how to express her feelings too! Earlier she sometimes does herself without knowing what she is doing! But these days, she knows how to give a hug, how to kiss, how to pray to God and top of all these, she knows how to be naughty ALWAYS.
What else I can do being at home all time!!!
