Thamizhini's Dictionary

Thamizhini's Dictionary is growing very fast and as of now it almost has minimum of 100 verbs. We are very sure that we have taught her only 25% of words, remaining all are her efforts in knowing words. She just absorbs what others talk and says!

One day, She was playing on the bed and when I called her for dressing, she told me "Amma 2mins". I'm astonished to hear that lovable cute words from her.

The other day, She was asking me something and I was not paying attention to her, She pulled my pants and pleading me, "Amma Please"! Oh God! she listens what we talk and uses for her context.

And she knows to tell, Amma ku, Appa ku like that, when her Ayah brings milk to her, she says "Pappa ku Paalu".
Till now she was calling her Dad by name, like "Balji pa" and now she started with my name. We never taught my name to her. Once when we asked "Amma peru enna" she took 30secs to think and says, "Bammindhi" (yeah, for Dhamayathi). I was so happy to hear that and I was asking her again and again. So now she started calling me, Bammindhi Amma... Bammindhi Amma. Would love to hear this whole day :-)

She knows everyone's name, who play with her. When we ask for her friends, She says Na(r)en Anna, A(k)chiya akka, Neya Akka, Nithu Akka, Tha(r)aa Akka, Siddhu, Sandheep, Parthiban and so on. Yes, she pronounce correctly for last 3 names.

Otherwise she has big list of words to use:
Pappu - Parupu / Dal
Idee - Idly
Bochai - Dosai
Pooyi - Poori
murkku - Murukku
Bapathi - Chapati
Appota  - Sapota

Popu - Soap
boppai - thoppai  and kuppai, It is our responsibility to find out the context  :-)

She use to tell like this: "Paapa,
nikke (nitkren)
ode (odren)
koonge (Thoongren)
erre (climbing)
ernge (getting down)
saapte
pathu (paduthu)
endhri (Enthiri)
pumma - chumma
pamru - kamnu iru
bump - jump
hands up! sit down.

"Pamiyini (Thamizhini) / Paappa bathma utkare", bathma means "Bathirama"

She says. Nalla pulle, Ketta pulle, Ayi pulle and even good girl, bad girl, dirty fellow.

I know this list will be growing and growing.... Never ends!

Amma Birthday!

This is my second birth day with my baby Thamizhini! Wow... If I tell like this, I feel my age has come down... :P As usual, a big cake, new dress and full of happiness! Thamizhini woke me in mid night to wish "Happy Birthday" in her cute voice. Check out the video below how she says "Happy birthday".  A birthday gift from Nalin and a card from my daughter made my day special.

The birthday card for "Mommy" was so cute and the words were so nice. I'm sure Thamizhini knows nothing about the card, but may be her daddy wants me to become that kinda "Wonderful Mommy!":P

Below decorations were ready when I entered home from office. Thamizhini was so happy to see balloons and were telling Happy Birthday... its kinda of chanting for her!

The decoration!
It is a fruit cake, decorated nicely and the taste was yummy! I had tough time in blowing off the candles.
Fruit Cake!

Check out her singing....

Hope everyone would have loved her singing. Finally yummy cake to taste!

Kids Day out!

It is really fun when kids play together, not only for them. But for the parents too! Yeah, me and my friend Sharmila along with our kids (Thamizhini and Yuthika) had been to "Toys Day Out", which is a play area located near by our flats. Kids were enjoying so much. Thamizhini was bit reluctant when she started playing, but once settled, they were not listening to our words. They both play on their own.

Hiya Jolly -a iruku
It was quite a long time that we had met! So even we had some time to chit chat when they were playing.
Mommy & Daughter!
This was a small pent house, where babies(toy) sleeping on the cradle. Thamizhini had no idea about it, but Yuthika was in a good form. She was taking baby in one hand and feeding bottle in other hand and telling to baby to drink! It was really a wonderful fun to watch her. She was not ready to move other place as she is settled with that baby doll.
Amma, Look at yuthi....!!! Baby-eh Kezhe pottuta!!!
Look at the pictures how they were enjoying on the ball house. They were playing as if no one is there to disturb them.
Enga area, Ulle varathe!
We have captured some videos too! Sharmila was bit tired to manage both of them in the ball house. Check it out!

In the last minute, Nalin too joined and he captured the below video:

Now I know my A B C !

Well, Everything started in ABC song. When Thamizhini was around 2 to 3months, we used to talk with her always. Yeah, simply we try to interact with her. If we simply sit idle or if we don't talk to her she will start crying. And mainly while giving bath, I must be active to talk than to give bath.
Amma, I'm gonna play on this!
I used to talk anything which comes to my mind and I'm sure that will not have to be related to previous topic. Only thing is that she wants to listen something. Some times I sing songs to her. She loves "Mukundha Mukundha" from Dasavatharam very much. She would be very active, in the sense, she would be smiling at me and she would throw her legs very fast, when I sing this song to her. And later I started singing ABC song and after sometimes started saying one, two three by showing my fingers. She will just see my fingers and my mouth. :-)
I know how to use books.

Now as she grown up, she knows how to play her ABCD toy to sing a song for her and she likes to play with alphabets too. We have alphabets and initially she likes to play on that, play in the sense, just open the box then drop them top down. She never tires to arrange it at all, but later we started showing her alphabets board where she can keep them in their respective place.

Whenever she gets bored of herself, she used to go and get her board, then play on her own. I hope you would have watched, how Thamizhini uses books. She just turns page as if a Pro, who have read more than hundred books. I like that style and she handles  books nicely. But sometimes, when she gets angry or when she feels naughty, she used to throw or stand on the book.
Amma, Look at it, I'm done.
As it became her usual game, she started knowing the alphabets, and now she knows min of 15 letters. She does not know in order, but when she sing the song, she does it. But while playing, she picks any alphabet and places it on the board. She knows where to place the alphabet, even if she does not know what alphabet is that. When we ask an alphabet which she does not know where to place it, she looks at the alphabet in my hand, then looks at the board and compares with the image, finally she places on the correct place.

Yuthika Birthday

These days Thamizhini started attending Birthday parties at least once in a month. This time we had been to Yuthika's (Sharmila's daughter) second birthday party. Yuthika's first birthday party was the Thamizhini first party to attend and that time she was just 7months old. Time goes very fast and the little one is completed two now.
Happy Birthday Yuthika
Party was planned at 7:30pm in her house itself, and as her house is quite near by for us, we planned to go by 7 after Nalin returning from office. I came back from office and dressed up Thamizhini and Nalin also joined in time. In another 15mins, we  were there in the party house.
Set for a pose.
Yuthika was so cute in her Pink shirt and blue jean. She is such adorable cute pie, very much soft in her voice and even in nature  She was so happyily walking and running behind the baloons. The room decoration was good and every one is happy to see the baloons everyhwere. Once we entered the house, Thamizhini was bit hesitated to get down from me as there were lot of new people. But after sometime, she got down and started playing with baloons.
Smiling Darling
Around 7:30, Birthday baby cut the cake, kids where so happy to sing Happy Birthday. Even Thamizhini sang "Happy Birthday" After having cake, we had nice and heavy dinner prepared at home. Thamizhini tasted all variety of foods and was feeling so much happy to be with kids. We gifted some of "My Pretty Board-Books" series and Yuthika is so happy to receive it.

Yuthika: Ahh... Gift For me...... :-)

19thMonth

This month is a full of festival and party months for Thamizhini. We had Thamizhini's daddy's birthday, Pongal and other friends birthday too! As a development, she started telling "Happy Birthday" as "Appy Bothday" But her daddy was so happy to hear her wishes.
How am I looking?
Her learning curve is growing very fast, she wants to read one or the other book always. Else she needs her alphabets, blocks or balls to play with. She ask us to carry her and wants to see the charts that were hung for her. She asks about everything and remembers the same.
:-) check out my hand (its on amma's hair)
As she is able to talk small small words, these days she is always saying one or the other things. Talks herself or talks to her toys. She takes a doll in hand and tells, baby mummu.... baby koongu (thoongu) like that! But she never likes to sleep! These days making her to take her afternoon nap is that much tough!
I'm not naughty!
She loves to drive her bicycle. Wondering how? Whenever she goes near to her cycle, her bodyguards surround her left and right! And she knew that at any cost, they will safe her from falling down. So she enjoys it and sometimes she frightens bodyguards too!
My bike!
Earlier my bigger and tough task was giving medicine to her. But now she knows what is it and ask from me. Look at the below picture how she drinks it. Lovely baby!
I can take myself
She talks so much when she is at home and when she is accompanied with family members. But if any new face joins the group, that is all! She won't even open her mouth. She won't say a single word at all. May be some phobia. :P The below picture we clicked when Bena's family had come down to our home.
My micky!
